Thanksgiving Vacation in KC

We spent Thanksgiving in Kansas City this year. Sydney had a blast with all of the toys, books and puzzles that Grandma had ready for her. We went shopping, to the park, to the Science City Museum at Union Station and even just played in the backyard since the weather was nice. On Thanksgiving night we went to the plaza to see the lights and had a wonderful "big girl" dinner at a nice restaurant. We had a lot of fun! Thanks Grandma and Grandpa!!!

1st Real Bubble Bath

We all know Sydney loves bubbles, but I had never actually given her a real bubble bath before. I suppose I didn't want her to get used to it since it's not the most healthy choice in taking a bath. Well, she loved it!!

Here's a little video of Sydney washing her face

Halloween

Sydney went as a lady bug this year for Halloween. Daddy was sweet enough to accompany her as a Whoopie Cushion as we toured the neighborhood. She walked the whole way by herself and while she couldn't say "Trick-or-Treat", she did manage to say "Treat" when walking up to the doors. That's the most important part anyway. ;) She did really well and it was so fun to watch her and get her first real introduction to candy.

Far Left: Syd stopped to dance at someone's house when they played MJ's "Thriller". It was simply adorable!

Little Moo Cow Carving Pumpkins

Dave and I carved pumpkins while Sydney drank some milk in her cow PJ's. So cute.

mmmm... milk

Pumpkin Patch

Sydney and I went to the Tolmachoff Farm's Pumpkin Patch with the rest of the playgroup last week. She had the best time chasing the chickens (hopefully not a career she's considering), visiting the horsies, going through the corn maze, climbing on the playground, but the most fun was had playing in the pumpkin patch. We only wish Daddy could have joined us. Maybe next year.

Dave's Birthday 2009

For Dave's birthday this year, we decided to stay home and celebrate with a few close friends and their kids. Times have sure changed. Sydney went the whole day without a nap. I think what I'll remember most is how many juice boxes she drank and what the "end" result was. I knew there was a reason they don't recommend more than 4 oz of juice per day. Wow!

There was a time when Dave was surrounded by women in a hot tub. Oh, how times have changed!

Dave playing with sydney and her friend Ariel. yes, Sydney is wearing Cardinals red. Too hot for her Steelers cheerleading outfit, but there's a lot of season left.

"It's all still good! Go Steelers!"

Happy Birthday, Honey!!!
