I'm pretty sure Sydney was looking at the pool while these photos were taken yesterday thinking, "Man, it's hot out here and that pool looks mighty refreshing. When can I swim?" Gotta love the hat though. :)Monday, June 30, 2008
Can I swim yet?
I'm pretty sure Sydney was looking at the pool while these photos were taken yesterday thinking, "Man, it's hot out here and that pool looks mighty refreshing. When can I swim?" Gotta love the hat though. :)Sydney Rolls Over!
Sydney rolled over on her own for the first time last week. She struggles to get her arm out, but she's getting there. Here is video proof! (sorry, the file is kind of large)

Where's the Beach?
I'm sorry for the lag in getting pictures posted. I went back to work 4 weeks ago and am still trying to get my routine down. Of course, I did have a little distraction with jury duty. My first time actually summoned and I was picked for a trial jury. So, I spent a few days downtown serving my civic duty. Uncle Mo would be so proud. Oh, and if you're curious, it was a shooting case. We found the defendant guilty. The good news: One less gangbanger will be off the streets for a while. The bad news: He'll learn how to be a better gang banger where he's going.Well, it's hot here in Phoenix... 110 degrees in the shade. So, it's time for summer outfits. Sydney is all dressed and ready for a day at the beach! Those feet are ready for the sand!
Worth the Weight
She gets more precious every day and as the bib says, she was definitely "worth the wait". We all just had bouts with the flu, but she recovered well (better than mommy and daddy). We did have to pay our first visit to the doctor just to make sure there wasn't anything more serious going on like an ear infection. All checked out ok. Whew! They did weigh our precious "little bundle" and at she weighed in at 14 lbs 3 ounces at just over 14 weeks old! Our next appointment is July 8th, so we'll provide another weight update then.
Got Milk?
Go Pens!
Not that this will be a surprise to anyone, but I'm pretty sure we're raising a sports fan. Sydney was very interested in the Stanley Cup Finals between the Pittsburgh Penguins and the Detroit Red Wings. Although her favored team did not take home the cup, she enjoyed watching the games on Daddy's lap nonetheless. And just in case there is any confusion, she was not named after Sydney Crosby. :)
